Yesterday was my first official Sunday as Interim Pastor of Dwight Baptist Church. I may be a little biased but I think we had a great morning service. It is a pleasure to serve with the great folks at Dwight again. We had that privilege in 2009. Lynda and I look forward to the journey with them.
You may be a regular or new visitor to our Web Page. Thank you for stopping by. My plan is to share a few thoughts on a regular basis. This is a new venture for me. If it helps someone along life's journey or opens a door for ministry then it will be worthwhile. My plan is to share a Biblical insight, or an insight from another Christian traveler, or just some personal musing. Here goes.
The title, "Glimpses Of Truth", comes from the words of a great old hymn, "Open My Eyes, That I May See" by Clara H. Scott.
"Open my eyes, that I may see Glimpses of truth Thou Hast for me; Place in my hands the wonderful key that shall unclasp and set me free:
"Open my ears, that I may hear Voices of truth Thou sendest clear; and while the wave notes fall on my ear, Everything false will disappear:
"Open my mouth, and let me bear Gladly the warm truth everywhere; Open my heart, and let me prepare Love with Thy children, thus to share:
"Silently now I wait for Thee, Ready, my God, Thy will to see; Open my eyes, illumine me, Spirit divine!"
Jesus said, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger." John 6:35. What are some things we can come to Him for? Salvation, Purpose, Comfort, Wisdom, Strength, Abundant Life, are just a few. If I can help you find any of these in Jesus just let me know.
